1Who we are
Tailorstack (“Tailorstack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by TailorStack Technologies Inc., a company based in Texas, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Tailorstack platform, how we use it, and the choices you have.
If you have questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at team@tailorstack.com.
2Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password (handled by our authentication provider) when you create a tailor or client account.
- Business & profile information: business name, location, services, pricing, and public profile details tailors choose to share for discovery by potential clients.
- Client & measurement records: client contact details and body measurements that a tailor enters to manage orders — this data belongs to the tailor’s business.
- Photos & uploads: portfolio images, gallery photos, and order/conversation photos uploaded by tailors and clients.
- Orders, invoices & payments: order details, invoice records, and payment/escrow transaction metadata processed through our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
- Messages: content of messages exchanged between tailors and clients through the platform’s conversation features.
- Usage & device data: pages visited, actions taken, browser/device type, and similar analytics collected automatically when you use the app.
3How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Provide core functionality — client management, measurement tracking, order and invoice creation, messaging, and portfolio display.
- Operate tailor discovery and public profile pages so potential clients can find and evaluate tailors.
- Process payments and escrow-protected transactions between tailors and clients.
- Send transactional emails such as onboarding, order updates, and invoice notifications.
- Monitor, secure, and improve the platform, including diagnosing bugs and understanding feature usage.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4Third-party service providers
We rely on the following third-party providers to operate Tailorstack. Each only receives the data necessary to perform its function:
- Supabase (authentication): manages account sign-up, login, and session security.
- Neon (database hosting): stores application data — profiles, orders, measurements, and messages — in a managed PostgreSQL database.
- Stripe (payments): processes payments and escrow-protected transactions between tailors and clients. Tailorstack does not store your full payment card details.
- PostHog (product analytics): collects anonymized usage and product-analytics events to help us understand how the app is used and improve it.
- Resend (transactional email): delivers onboarding, notification, and account-related emails on our behalf.
- Cloud object storage: stores uploaded photos — portfolio images, gallery images, and order/conversation attachments.
These providers are contractually limited to using your data to provide services to Tailorstack, not for their own independent purposes.
5Data storage & security
Data is stored with reputable cloud infrastructure providers and encrypted in transit. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate the service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6Your rights & choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can update most account and profile information directly in the app, or contact team@tailorstack.com to make a request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
7Cookies & tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences, and analytics scripts (via PostHog) to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect the app’s functionality.
8Children’s privacy
Tailorstack is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
9Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — most notably once it has been reviewed by legal counsel. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice through the app or by email.
